The Wharton Healthcare Alumni Association Annual Conference returns to The Inn at Penn and Huntsman Hall on October 29–30. This year's theme — Bold Bets at Healthcare's Tipping Point — reflects a defining moment for the industry. U.S. healthcare spending has reached $5.3 trillion, now 18% of GDP, and the system as we know it is no longer sustainable. Today's healthcare consumer is more informed, more activated, and less tolerant of the friction legacy systems were built around. AI is already reshaping care delivery, population health, and drug development — and it won't wait for the industry to catch up. Add political headwinds, government scrutiny, and a rapidly aging population, and the pressure to act — not react — has never been greater.
Programming will begin Thursday afternoon at The Inn at Penn with a pitch competition for early stage companies judged by a panel of professional investors followed by an OPENING NETWORKING RECEPTION. As in prior years, the pre-conference dinner will be held Thursday evening, providing alumni, conference speakers, and sponsors with a terrific opportunity to spend quality time together!
Then join us on Friday at Huntsman Hall for a remarkable day of knowledge sharing and networking that will include noteworthy speakers from across the industry as we explore what it takes to make Bold Bets at Healthcare's Tipping Point.
