Humana, a leading health and well-being company that provides a large portion of the country’s Medicare Advantage plans, has a longstanding commitment to caring for vulnerable populations. This session will detail the beliefs and frameworks around health inequity from the company’s Digital Health & Analytics organization, showcasing multiple approaches to combatting racial gaps and injustices from discovery and investing to product design, and from associate and member experience mapping to rotational talent programs focused on recruitment and retention of diverse talent.

Hadley McClure
Virtual Care Product Manager, Digital Health and Analytics

Hadley McClure is a virtual care product manager in Humana's Digital Health and Analytics organization. She has a strong passion for designing and building inclusive digital products that support providers and deliver care to Humana's members and patients anytime, anywhere.

Grace Backe
Discovery & Strategic Partnerships

Located in the tech hub of San Francisco, Grace has spent her career working with healthcare startup and growth stage companies in digital health, value-based care, and social determinants of health. As Senior Discovery & Strategic Partnerships Associate at Humana, Grace is responsible for sourcing and supporting due diligence of innovative partners. In addition, she built a company tracking database and market research collaboration system, by which Humana can take steps to be more equitable.

Darrell Williams
Senior Data Scientist

Darrell Williams is a data driven public health practitioner with a focus on population health and health equity- attaining dual Masters degrees in Health Services Administration (MHSA) , and Information in Data Science (MSI). Darrell will be beginning a new full-time role with Humana as a Senior Data Scientist focused on AI Ethics after his Spring 2022 graduation.

  • Non-members are welcome to participate for a $20 fee.
