Roy Goldman, Ph.D., FSA, MAAA, CERA

Roy-_Humana_office_1-15-15_(2).jpgRoy Goldman is a retired actuarial executive who has been active in all areas of health insurance since 1981. His last position was Chief Actuary of Humana (2010-2015). Prior to that he was the CFO and Chief Actuary of Geisinger Health Plan in Danville, PA; Mercy Health Plans in St. Louis, MO; and The Prudential Insurance Company’s Group Operations. He is an elected member of the board of directors of the Society of Actuaries and an elected trustee of The Actuarial Foundation. He has served on the Health Advisory Panel of the Congressional Budget Office since 2011.

Roy earned a PhD in mathematics from Rutgers University and BA, Phi Beta Kappa, Cum Laude from Franklin and Marshall College. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries [SOA], a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst. He has been an active volunteer in the SOA’s Education and Examination system for over 30 years as well as active in healthcare policy.
