Hannah Plon, WG’22

Hannah is currently a Therapeutic Area Manager at Genentech, supporting the Respiratory and NeuroImmunology franchises as part of her first rotation in Genentech’s Commercial Rotation Development Program. As the primary point of contact for customers in her territory, she works to address the clinical goals and challenges of healthcare providers in support of improved patient outcomes, lowered costs and improved quality of care.

Originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, she received her BA in Earth Science from Wesleyan University, and graduated from Wharton in 2022 with an MBA in Health Care Management. During her time at Wharton, she was a Content Committee member of the 2021 Wharton Health Care Business Conference (WHCBC) and then a Co-Chair for the 2022 WHCBC. She was also a Biotech Fellow for Penn Bio Launch (now part of Nucleate), a program for accelerating biotech venture formation through collaboration across the University of Pennsylvania Schools. During her MBA internship, she joined the Respiratory Marketing team at Genentech, where she designed and executed on a comprehensive Congress engagement strategy for the franchise and developed a novel roadmap to operationalize a switch in dosage forms for a rare disease patient population.

Prior to starting Wharton, she worked for six years on the R&D team at JDS Therapeutics, a small nutraceutical company. There she managed new product development across the ingredient, dietary supplement, and pharmaceutical divisions, and oversaw regulatory filings and strategies. Now Hannah lives in Philadelphia, plays too much squash, and remains a long-time fan of the soap opera General Hospital.
