Join in the healthcare conversation on SIRIUSXM Channel 111 - the Wharton business channel! A panel of experts will discuss how health insurers are improving their plan offerings to appeal to the newly-empowered health insurance consumer.
We have a great opportunity to spread the word via national radio on the great things being done in the healthcare field by Wharton HCM alumni and by our program. That is where you come in. For those WHCMAA dues paying members, we are offering the opportunity for you to join in the conversation on live national radio to discuss various healthcare topics. Although in a one-hour show the call-in parts will be limited, we want those parts to be strong and substantive; so we’re lining up WHCMAA audience members (i.e. you) who can add value to various healthcare topics.
Our next radio session, Delighting the Beneficiary: How Health Insurers Are Becoming B2C Companies, will be Tuesday, September 22nd from 12:00pm to 1:00pm EDT. Please note that the topic is subject to change.
Health insurers have historically operated as B2B companies, marketing their services to employers who purchase insurance on behalf of employees. But nowadays health insurers have to compete for each individual customer, as more and more Americans are offered a choice of plans when its time to enroll. Health plans must now think like B2C companies if they are to acquire loyal customers. This show will examine how health insurers are improving their plan offerings to appeal to the newly-empowered health insurance consumer.
Click here to register. Open only to current dues-paying members of WHCMAA. Now available to 50 participants!
The user name and password for access to this session will be emailed to all participants on Monday, September 21st.
This session will be replayed three times after the initial broadcast.
Replay schedule:
Friday, September 25th at 9:00 am EDT
Saturday, September 26th at 4:00 pm EDT
Sunday, September 27th at 9:00 pm EDT
Panelists:
- Sabrina Corlette, J.D., Senior Research Fellow and Project Director at the Center on Health Insurance Reforms (CHIR) at Georgetown University’s Health Policy Institute

- Kris Gale, Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer, Clover Health
Note: If we become oversubscribed to this offer, our goal will be to extend the one hour radio segment to 2 hours (to ensure your voice is heard). Lastly, if you have an idea for a panel discussion or would like to be a panelist for a session, please email Jeff Voigt at[email protected]. We have 8 more radio segments planned after this (A big thank you goes out to the WHCM faculty for allowing this to occur). Our ultimate goal is to make this a weekly radio segment – where we can spread the word about the good things being done in health care by the WHCM alumni and faculty. Again, this is open only to dues paying members.
