Tim McDonald

Tim McDonald is a partner at Guidon Partners, a partnership formed by health care services executives that co-invests alongside leading private equity firms.   Over the course of his thirty-year career, he has served as a senior business development and marketing executive in both private-equity backed and public companies across different segments of the health care industry such as Amerigroup Corporation (now Anthem), Workscape (now ADP), MetraHealth Companies (now UnitedHealth Group), HealthSpring Medical Group, and Value Health (acquired by Express Scripts).   In the past several years, he has co-invested in several high-growth health care services and IT services organizations such as VISICU (acquired by Philips), Health Risk Partners (acquired by Verscend Technologies), Censis Technologies (acquired by Riverside Companies), Avalere Health (acquired by Inovalon), and, GoHealth Insurance.   Tim is on the Executive Advisory Board at Penn’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, earned his MBA from The Wharton School in Health Care Management and Finance; and graduated magna cum laude in Politics from Princeton University.
