Tom is currently the Senior Vice Dean for Finance and Administration, Temple University School of Medicine, and Executive Director of Temple University Physicians, the faculty group practice of Temple University. He has responsibility for the administrative and financial oversight of the School of Medicine and Practice Plan, which have a combined annual operating budget of over $350M, as well as human resources, and facilities management and planning. Over the past thirty-seven years, he has worked at each of the four academic medical centers in Philadelphia: the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson University, and Drexel University, in addition to Temple University. His professional experience includes thirteen years in various hospital leadership positions and twenty-two years in medical school and practice plan administration. Earlier in his career he was employed as a healthcare financial consultant for Coopers & Lybrand. He is past chair of the Group on Business Affairs of the American Association of Medical Colleges and have been a long-time member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Medical Group Management Association. He recently served as the Treasurer for the Wharton Healthcare Management Alumni Association.
