Steven Long (Steve) serves as the Cyber Security Advisor for Southeastern Pennsylvania at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where he leads the effort to protect and advance the resilience of the nation’s cyber infrastructure within the critical infrastructure while working with federal, state, local, and other
stakeholders to maximize collaboration and minimize risk on matters of homeland security or emergency management.

From 2019-2023, prior to assuming his CSA duties, Mr. Long served as the Regional Protective Security Advisor Protect for CISA Region 3. Steve contributed to the development of the national risk picture by assisting with the identification, assessment, and monitoring of critical infrastructure. He also acted as a physical and technical security advisor to local, state and federal government agencies, as well as the private sector.

From 2018-2019 National Risk Management Center (NRMC) Regional Analyst (RA) in support of CISA Region 3. His assignments included conducting analysis, evaluations and fact-finding studies related to critical infrastructure; managing critical infrastructure analysis methods; developing innovative approaches to critical infrastructure reporting and communication; and operating a variety of geospatial tools and equipment.

Before assuming his duties with Region 3, Mr. Long served in a variety of Intelligence operations and security related positions across the US Government Intelligence Community. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland University College.
