Sheri Shapiro is Senior Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions and Partnership Development, at Trinity Health. She leads the evaluations and negotiations for all major Trinity Health transactions – from mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures to joint ventures and other partnership opportunities. Shapiro also plays a key role in advancing all aspects of our system's non-acute diversification strategy.
Shapiro has nearly 20 years of experience in both healthcare consulting and industry roles. Prior to joining Trinity Health, she served as Principal with The Chartis Group, where she advised health systems – including Trinity Health – in strategic planning, physician alignment, and population health initiatives and transactions. Before joining The Chartis Group, Shapiro held strategic planning and marketing leadership positions with Ford Motor Company, including managing the Ford Escape SUV brand and the marketing launch of the Escape Hybrid. Earlier in her career, she served as associate consultant for CSC Healthcare, formerly APM Management Consultants. There she worked to develop new strategic plans and operational improvement initiatives for hospitals and health systems across the U.S.
Shapiro holds an MBA with honors in healtcare management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in biopsychology with distinction from the University of Michigan.
