After serving as Ambassador of Costa Rica to the United States, for the past three years Roman has been running the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social, Costa Rica´s institution that provides all public health care services, as Executive President and Chairman of the Board. In his current role, he is responsible for leading Costa Rica´s health care response to the pandemic.
