Rob Varady, WG'14

Rob is the Co-Founder and COO of Topology, which extends reach of licensed opticians beyond the four walls of the clinic so they can deliver store-quality vision directly to the home. Rob was principally responsible for pivoting Topology from a direct-to-consumer custom eyewear brand to the SaaS / Virtual Care company it is today, leading business development, product, and finance functions within the company. He works with some of the largest Optometry organizations in the world on how they can evolve their service models and supply chains to deliver product and services in digital channels, and on how to integrate omnichannel customer journeys into a very traditional clinical and retail model.

Before Topology, Rob cut his teeth in early models of Accountable Care Organizations. He served as a strategy consultant at Deloitte, where he helped stand up a joint venture between a top health plan and an integrated physician group to manage Medicare ACO and capitated commercial contracts. Other work at Deloitte focused on stand up digital product studios within other health plans. He also served as VP of Strategy for Palm Beach Accountable Care Organization, a physician-led ACO with the second highest performance nationally in the first three years of the Medicare Shared Savings program. Prior to Wharton, he was a quant at Goldman Sachs and SAC Capital. Rob received his MBA from Wharton in healthcare management, and his BS in Applied Math from Harvard.
