Career Development Webinar Series:
Network or Not Work - How to Approach the Market in the Midst of a Pandemic

with featured speakers Dennis Kain, Senior Vice President and Charlotte Tinsley, Assistant Vice President of Tyler & Company

Networking has always been an essential part of a job search, and the most likely path to a new position, but COVID-19 has interrupted the traditional ways in which we networked. However, networking may be even more important now, during the pandemic, than it was previously; it just requires a different approach. In this webinar, Dennis Kain and Charlotte Tinsley will share insights into how you should approach the market during these unusual times. Topics to be addressed include:

  • Connecting with colleagues and others
  • Optimizing your public profile
  • Joining and participating in groups
  • Following companies and thought leaders
  • Finding and applying for jobs
  • Tips on resumes and preparing for interviews
  • Deciding what to do about endorsements
  • Addressing privacy concerns
  • Remembering your references

Dennis Kain, Senior Vice President, joined Tyler & Company in 2000. His career spans more than 40 years and includes extensive leadership experience in health care operations, hospital management, and national consulting. Dennis has conducted CEO, senior executive, and physician executive searches for large health networks, academic medical centers, independent physician practices, and community hospitals across the country.

Charlotte Tinsley, Assistant Vice President, joined Tyler & Company in 2009. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in human resources and retained executive search. Her ability to attract and assess candidates allows her to consistently produce top-drawer executive leadership talent for roles in operations, nursing, finance, technology, human resources, business development, risk management, quality, clinical service lines, and physician groups. Using a blend of creativity, and sourcing and networking techniques, Charlotte has a proven track record of successfully completing assignments for public, private, and non-profit organizations.
