Michael Rovinsky is a healthcare strategist, advisor, and business development executive with more than 35 years of experience providing strategic counsel to senior leadership of healthcare provider organizations. His areas of specialization include strategic, business, and regulatory planning; ambulatory medical facility planning and development; hospital/physician alignment; and partnership development.
Michael currently serves as President of Integrity Consulting Group, a healthcare consulting firm he initially founded in 1998. Current work includes facilitating a comprehensive strategic planning process for a $2 billion, multi-hospital health system; leading an engagement with a major university health system to develop a women’s and children’s specialty destination ambulatory center; and preparing a Certificate of Need application for development of an outpatient wound care program for a university hospital.
Previously, Michael served as Associate Principal, Senior Healthcare Market Strategist for Perkins&Will, a premier healthcare architecture and design firm, where he was part of the Integrated Specialists Group, a team of non-architects who ensure that what the architects design makes sense strategically, operationally, and clinically. Prior to that, Michael was Director, Southeast Region, for Veralon Partners Inc., a boutique healthcare consulting firm specializing in strategy and planning; mergers and acquisitions; clinical integration and value-based care; and valuation and physician compensation. Previous roles include serving as Executive Director, Strategic Planning for Kaiser Permanente Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, and as Interim Vice President of Planning for Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola, FL.
Michael earned a BA in Biology and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1981 and an MBA in Health Care Management from The Wharton School in 1986. He currently serves on the Boards of the Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP), the Wharton Health Care Management Alumni Association, and the Southeast Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, for which he is the most recent past-president and currently serves as Chair of the Member Engagement Committee.
Michael lives in Atlanta with his wife and soulmate, Lisa, and his son, Andrew, who currently attends Brown University. In his spare time, he enjoys going on long walks with Lisa and taking pictures of gorgeous flowers he sees along the way, cooking beautifully plated meals, and gardening.
