Heather O’Sullivan is the President of Home-Based Care for Mass General Brigham, leading profitable business growth for this $14B renowned, non-profit organization with 16 member institutions. She steers the strategic delivery across wide-ranging services including acute care hospitalizations, primary care, urgent care, chronic disease management, and behavioral health. Heather sets the strategic vision, ensures financial success via full P&L responsibility, and evolves the home-based care operating model for scale, with two of the first and largest hospital-at-home programs in the country, a mobile integrated health service, and a home health agency with over 1,000 employees.
Fusing 20+ years of unique experience across payor and provider healthcare organizations, Heather has provided strategic, enterprise-wide transformation, growth and innovation through complex business evolutions for Fortune 50 companies Cardinal Health, UnitedHealth Group (UHG), and Humana. Her strong background across clinical, business, infrastructure operations, fiscal oversight, and M&A expertise has steered companies through challenging periods of disruption, transition, and high growth to achieve billion-dollar outcomes.
A respected leader, Heather advances business strategy, asking insightful questions, and gaining consensus during high stakes between executives, the business, clinicians, and external customers – delivering high business value and patient care. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and adult children, traveling, and exploring the great outdoors.
Heather holds an MS as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from Simmons College in Boston and received her undergraduate degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
