Heather Helle is the former Chief Executive Officer for DermOne LLC, a dermatology platform management organization. In this capacity, Ms. Helle created one of the most innovative, trusted and clinically excellent dermatology and vein networks in the nation, dedicated to supporting an unparalleled experience for patients and the physicians who care for them.
Ms. Helle has more than 15 years of diverse experience serving in roles of increasing responsibility across the healthcare services and packaged goods industries. She has held leadership roles in operations, marketing and innovation. Ms. Helle has worked domestically and internationally and has a track record of delivering outstanding results for both emerging and mature businesses.
Previous to her position at DermOne, Ms. Helle was the Divisional Vice-President of Walgreen’s Healthcare Clinics. In this capacity, she was responsible for leading the company’s retail clinic business within Walgreen’s pharmacies. She successfully led its transformation and expansion from 50 clinics focused on acute care to more than 400 clinics delivering preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services. Ms. Helle held management responsibility for more than 1,400 team members and collaborated cross-functionally across the multiple Walgreen businesses and functions. She represented the company’s efforts both internally and externally and has been featured on NPR’s Marketplace, in the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
Prior to Walgreen, Ms. Helle served as Director of the $745 million Adult Upper Respiratory Franchise for McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a Johnson & Johnson company. She is credited with both the successful integration of the Pfizer Upper Respiratory portfolio as well as the organizational response to the pseudoephedrine crisis, which led to record sales and market share gains. Ms. Helle was presented with the Johnson & Johnson Standards of Leadership award in recognition of her accomplishments. Prior to Johnson & Johnson she served in various roles in marketing and promotions at General Mills, Inc.
Ms. Helle’s strengths include strategy, new business development, creating extraordinary product and service experiences, and excellence in execution. She has significant experience in assessing marketplace opportunities and customer needs, architecting game-changing solutions, developing talent and teams, and leading business operations.
Ms. Helle is a native of North Dakota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Business and from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with an M.B.A. and concentrations in Management, Strategy, Finance, and Organizational Behavior. She is a Trustee of the Shipley School and resides in Ardmore, PA with her family.
