Amy Fitzpatrick, WG’93

Amy O’C. Fitzpatrick, WG ’93 is currently the Program Director for the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Precision Psychiatry. In this role, she operationalizes, oversees, and promotes the goals of this new Center established in 2020. She is responsible for the development, integration, and operational management of the Center’s initiatives as well as high-level administrative, fiscal and business development functions. Under her leadership, along with Center Director, Jordan Smoller, MD, ScD, MGH will launch the First Annual Conference on Precision Psychiatry this fall bringing together the community of scientists, industry partners and healthcare leaders in the emerging field of precision psychiatry, advancing interest in the application of precision medicine to psychiatric research and clinical practice.

Amy has a unique combination of business and social work training and a range of experiences as a non-profit leader, board member, and management consultant. Graduating from Wharton in 1993 with an MBA in Healthcare Management and a concentration in Strategic Planning, she earned her MSW in 2014, with a Macro concentration in Social Innovation and Leadership from the Boston College School of Social Work.  Prior to her current role at MGH, Amy served for 5 1/2 years as the Senior Administrative and Finance Director at Home Base, A Red Sox Foundation and MGH program, and the nation’s largest private sector clinic treating the invisible wounds of war through world class clinical care, wellness, and education for veterans, service members and their families. At Home Base, she provided strategic direction and enterprise-wide management as a member of the senior leadership team and was responsible for daily fiscal and operational management of the program. 

Amy met her husband, Bob, at Wharton; they have 23 year old twins and live in Marblehead, MA, north of Boston. She currently serves as a member of the WHCMAA Board (2019-2021) and, in this capacity, is also the Chair of the Communications Committee. Amy has truly enjoyed further engagement with WHCMAA and appreciates having had the opportunity to give back to a program that was so impactful in her life.
