Patrick R. Young, President of Population Health, Hackensack Meridian Health
Many of us have had to transition from one position to another in our careers, often as the result of a promotion. Doing so requires an adjustment to a new role with new responsibilities, many of which we may not have performed in the past. This adjustment is also necessary and potentially harder when moving from one company to another, whether in the same or a different position. In the current environment of uncertainty and change, many of us are making a significant pivot in our careers, sometimes to a completely different sector of the industry. Of course, this transition requires the greatest adjustment.
During this candid “fireside chat,” we will talk with Patrick Young, President of Population Health for Hackensack Meridian Health, about his career journey, which has included a series of positions with a major health insurance company and then a jump across the tracks to a major role in a large provider organization. Among other topics, we will discuss:
- Patrick’s personal background
- How he landed his first job
- The career path he envisioned
- The career path he has experienced
- Lessons he learned along the way
