WHCMAA Alumni Awards

Each year, the Wharton Health Care Management Alumni Association (WHCMAA) bestows upon a deserving alumnus or alumna its Alumni Achievement Award (established in 1982) and its Outstanding Service Award (established in 2016).  The awardees are recognized in the fall at the WHCMAA alumni gathering in Philadelphia, as well as on the WHCMAA website and in other social media locations.

Alumni Achievement Award

The Alumni Achievement Award is presented to an alumnus or alumna who reflects the high ideals of the Wharton Health Care Management (WHCM) program and who meets the following criteria:

  • The nominee must be a recipient of an MBA degree from the Wharton School of at least 5 years' standing (i.e. a graduate of the class of 2012 or earlier is eligible for the award beginning in 2017).
  • The nominee must demonstrate a history of active contribution to health care management or its related fields, with preference to those who demonstrate contribution across the private, public and academic sectors.

Awardees are nominated by fellow alumni and selected by committee of the WHCMAA Board.
