Call for Board Nominations!
The Wharton Health Care Management Alumni Association (WHCMAA) is seeking alumni to represent the Association on the WHCMAA Board.
The Alumni Association has undergone significant transformation over the past few years. We are diligently working to expand our reach and achieve our goal of being thought leaders in the health care industry. We have increased our membership and relevancy through career development and content webinars offerings, sponsorship of local networking events and focus on national industry trends with the execution of our Health Care Alumni Conference, which saw almost 150 attendees. So help us, help you! Serving on the Board is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with other alumni, meet current students, see June Kinney (of course) and with your colleagues, use our unique platform for a larger voice in the industry.
This year, we will elect at least five (5) new alumni to the Board, in addition to three current members who are seeking reelection. Board positions are for two-year terms.
If you are interested or know someone who may be interested in this opportunity, please respond to Maureen Spivack at maureenspivack@comcast.net by April 15th.
In your response to Maureen, please attach a one to three paragraph bio, which should include a brief summary of your professional activities as well as a statement of interest in running for the Board. Please note that Board members are expected to attend at least two of three live Board meetings in Philadelphia each year and actively serve on one to two of the Board’s committees. The Association will reimburse travel and related expenses for two of the meetings.
We look forward to strengthening the WHCMAA through a new group of talented and engaged Board members. If you have further questions about the Board itself, serving as a Board member or getting involved in WHCMAA activities in other ways, please do not hesitate contacting any of the current officers listed below.
Kind Regards,
Maureen Spivack (WG'86)
Secretary, WHCMAA
